1Ocean Charters is a locally owned, owner-operated Bahamian boat charter company based in Nassau. We run shared half-day tours and private charters around Nassau, Rose Island, and Athol Island. Guests swim with the famous pigs, look for sea turtles, snorkel the reefs, and relax on quiet beaches. We are a new company built on a very old relationship with the sea.
Why we started
We started 1Ocean Charters to offer a relaxed day on the water. You get room to move, comfortable seating, and a crew that is glad you came. Our promise is simple: a better way to experience The Bahamas.

Co-owner & Operations
Tameka Forbes spent years in banking management, including as a Branch Manager leading a team. She brings that leadership and attention to detail to every part of the guest experience, from first inquiry to return to shore.
Our spacious catamaran was chosen for one reason: comfort. There is space to move around, comfortable seating, shaded areas when you want them and an open deck when you would rather be in the Bahamian sun.
An onboard sound system, water toys, snorkel gear, and towels come as standard.
What we stand for
Guests are hosted, not processed. From the welcome aboard to the return to the dock, the crew is there to look after you.
Local waters, local knowledge, local hospitality.
We would rather show you fewer things properly than rush you past more.
The captain decides whether conditions are safe, and that decision is never negotiable. Guest safety comes before any departure.
Being on the water should feel relaxed, and that is only possible when the serious things are properly handled. The vessel is fully equipped.
If we cancel because of weather, you choose a full refund or a new date.

A spacious 45-foot catamaran with comfortable seating, shaded areas, an open sun deck, an onboard sound system, and water toys. It comfortably holds up to 70 guests.
We are based in Nassau. Shared tours depart at 9 AM from Prince George Wharf (near the cruise port), Margaritaville Paradise Island, or Montagu Beach. We confirm your departure point when you book.
